How to change the oil on a craftsman lt 1000?

How do you change the oil on a 2006 craftsman lt 1000 16hp briggs and stratton. where the drain for the oil at? what kinda filter if any does it take? what kind oil does it take and how much? How to change the oil on a craftsman lt 1000?First, you drain the oil on the right side of the engine (looking forward).

It has a drain valve that you hook a piece of tubing to so you can catch the old oil. Than you turn the collar counter clockwise and pull it out. The oil will drain. Loosen or remove the dipstick to allow better venting. When it is done draining, push the valve back in and turn it clockwise to lock it. Add three pints of 30wt oil and check the level with the dipstick. There is no oil filter unless it was an option. If there is a filter it will be near the drain valve and look like an auto filter except a bit smaller.
