Honda civic lx 07, how do i change the engine air filter?

so i went to the honda dealership for an oil change and the dude said i need to change the engine air filter or something of the like, well he wanted an arm and leg can i do this my self?Honda civic lx 07, how do i change the engine air filter?Yes the air filter is located in the plastic box on top of the engine or next to it. It's held together with clips or 8mm head bolts. If it has bolts you'll need an 8mm, or 5/16 inch (same thing) nut driver. Open it up, swap the new filter in and close it.



You should also check the cabin air filter. It's located behind the glove box. Open it, theres stops on both sides you press in to release it and let it hang down. Then youll see a horizontal rectangular door, the cabin air filter is in there. Open it up if the filter is full of nasty crap replace it, needless to say.
